Mailing Rules:

Don't send any fully nude photos.

Even though official rules say different, do not send more than 10 photos per envelope.

Stickers of any sort are not allowed.

Don't send strings or cellutaped stuff, clips a.s.o

3 pens are allowed per envelope, they have to be see-through and the simple once. No metal tip.

You are allowed to send stamps. Only send 5 or 6 at the time. You are allowed more but often they seem to go missing in action.

Of course please don't send any drugs, weapons, cigarrets, cash, dirty knickers or other contrabant.

Package rules

If you have a Condemned A inmate you can send one package every quarter. If you have missed a quarter that is basicly tuff luck for your loved one. You can only send a package from approved vendors. Some you can find here.

If your loved one is a Condemned B he is only allowed one package a year.

Sending money

You can send cheques or moneyorders. If you use those make sure you very clearly put the inmates name and CDC # on there.

Or you use jpay. That is what I found the easiest and the fastest and the cheapest way. You do need a credit card though. www.jpay.com

If you are looking for a penpal please make sure you look very carefully. There are inmates who do like to play games, but not everybody is the same. There are a lot of wonderful people inside. Not everyone who is asking for money or things, are automaticly playing games. They don't have much and there is no harm in asking. You can always say "NO". But even though there are a lot of good news about the DP being abolished (we keep our hopes up and wish for it) right now people still get executed and one day you may face to loose your loved one. There are organisations our there who will help in these situations. They are wonderful wonderful people, so don't be scared to ask for help.
